New Delhi:Disha Patani's approach to food is far less complicated than the endless diet trends and wellness hacks that often surround celebrity lifestyles. The actor, known for her athletic build and disciplined approach to her diet, has previously spoken about keeping her meals remarkably consistent.
Disha's latest release, Awarapan 2, is also running successfully at the box office. The film, in which she stars opposite Emraan Hashmi, has earned over Rs 90 crore in its first four days. Away from her films, Disha has often spoken about the simple eating routine she follows to stay fit.
Disha Patani's simple 3-step morning diet routine
In a July 2022 interview with PeepingMoon, Disha shared details of what she consumes from the moment she wakes up, including three beverages before her first meal of the day. She also admitted that sticking to the same foods and recipes makes her diet "pretty boring".
Her morning intake includes:
Turmeric water:This is the first thing she has after waking up.Special tea:She drinks a tea that she said is specifically good for the throat. Two to three glasses of water:She also drinks two or three glasses of plain water soon after waking.Explaining her morning routine, Disha said, "The first thing I do when I wake up, I have turmeric water. And then I have my, there's a special tea, which is good for the throat. And I drink like two, three glasses of water as soon as I wake up."
Her protein, carbs and vegetables diet plan
When it comes to her meals, Disha keeps things equally straightforward. Her breakfast usually consists of eggs with either rice or bread. Lunch typically combines a protein source with carbohydrates and some vegetables, while dinner follows a similar protein-and-carbohydrate combination.
Her usual diet pattern looks like this:
Breakfast:Eggs with rice or breadLunch:A protein source, carbohydrates and vegetablesDinner:Protein and carbohydratesDisha also said she aims to have at least three to four meals a day and tries not to snack between them. Rather than frequently changing her food choices, she sticks to the same recipes and dishes, a pattern she has followed for years.
"I eat the same food every day. I've been eating the same food for the last, I don't know how many years. Same recipes, same dish. I'm pretty boring in terms of my meals," she said.
There is one clear exception to the otherwise repetitive diet. Sunday is her cheat day, which Disha described as the most exciting part of her week. It can include something sweet, chocolate or another food she does not routinely have during the rest of the week.
